Astrological preview March 2025

The act of letting go and trusting brings new perspectives

General situation

The two eclipses make March a crucial month in these times of upheaval. In addition, many other signs in the sky illustrate the process of completion, of letting go to the active departure and the new beginning.
Getting rid of ballast, tidying up inside and out, creates space for renewal. Much is reinventing itself, especially alliances and contracts are being remixed – the world is being re-inspired.

Venus will be retrograde from March 3rd and Mercury from mid-month. They move back and forth between Pisces and Aries. This also symbolizes the space between completion and growth. The focus of the major changes (eclipses) is primarily on collective negotiations, trade (Mercury) and partnerships (Venus).
However, we can assume that decisions are still realistic during the retrograde phase of Venus and Mercury. The signs for long-term favorable decisions will not be in place until middle of April.

Also important is Neptune’s change at the end of the month. After 150 years, the planet of dreams goes from Pisces into fiery, assertive Aries. This change also marks a collectively formative new beginning. On June 25, 2025, Saturn, the planet of manifestation, will join Neptune in Aries. Visions and ideas (Neptune) want to be concretized (Saturn) and implemented in a particularly targeted and powerful way (Aries).

On a personal level, it is time to courageously pursue ideas and projects. Allies, like-minded people and the exchange of ideas play an important role. At the latest when Saturn joins in June, it will become clear what efforts will still be necessary for success.
On a global political level, the planetary connection between Neptune and Saturn is closely linked to the history of Russia and communism.
With this collective new beginning in June, it can be assumed that Russia will play an important role.

At the same time, we will be able to observe that the USA will change profoundly. The powerful Pluto is returning to the Pluto position in the USA’s founding horoscope (July 4, 1776) after 248 years.

From a global political perspective, we are experiencing a form of destruction of the old structures.
We can observe how patriarchal, fascist and also capitalist interests (Uranus in Taurus) are manifesting themselves more and more ruthlessly and aggressively.
At the same time, Pluto in Aquarius nourishes the power of citizens and resistance over the next 20 years. There are parallels to the French Revolution of 1789 – also with Pluto in Aquarius.
On a higher level, these strong forces of renewal trigger a significant shift in consciousness.
Use the power of your thoughts – recognize how strongly your thoughts and feelings determine your life and learn to direct these forces in a targeted way.
If you would like to deepen these skills, I recommend hypnotherapy. It changes emotions and thoughts in a sustainable way and directs them in the desired direction.

March chronologically:

From March 1st to 3rd, much is unclear and we tend to exaggerate. The quickly emerging optimism creates lightness, but can also turn out to be deceptive or risky.
These are good days for creative work and for collecting ideas. However, the energies are not suitable for precise work.
When Venus runs backwards from March 2nd to April 13th, it changes from the evening star to the morning star. It will form a conjunction with the Sun on March 23rd to present itself anew in the sky as a brightly shining beauty early in the morning. It will not be visible during its retrograde phase until March 22nd.
Symbolically, you can transfer this to your relationships, values and finances. Revise and negotiate, but take your time to feel what brings you joy. Just as Venus is currently doing, it is best to allow changes of direction.
It is quite possible that old love stories will become relevant again. Often these strive for clarification or reconciliation. The Sun harmoniously connects with the activist Mars from March 7th to 9th. Together with the Sun, the days around March 8th offer the best opportunities to move your affairs forward productively. These are enterprising days with strong emotional commitment…. The full moon in Virgo on March 14th is also a total lunar eclipse. (Not visible to us).
The mood may be a bit gloomy, as it may be difficult to recognize new perspectives and obligations leave little room for dreaming.
The darkened moon indicates that trust and inner stability, including spiritual practices, pave the way for new perspectives.

Mercury is retrograde from March 15th to April 7th.
The golden rule during these three weeks is: Strive for clear communication so that misunderstandings do not become the order of the day. Take the time to thoroughly clean up your paperwork again. If possible, do not sign any important contracts and it is best to postpone decisions until April. Be flexible and relaxed when traveling and take changes of plan with humor and as an opportunity.
On March 17th, the Sun connects with the lunar node in Pisces. Around this date, fate reveals itself more strongly.
The lunar node in Pisces teaches us over the next 1.5 years the karmic learning field of letting go, reinventing ourselves and trusting.
With the Sun on the lunar node, encounters can be experienced as fateful. Also pay attention to the small signs of everyday life – they can reveal important information for your life.

The equinox on March 20th marks the long-awaited beginning of spring. Astrologically speaking, this is also the beginning of the year and the horoscope at this moment symbolically shows the energies of this complex year.
Several planets are lined up close together. Some are in spiritual Pisces and others are early Aries. This also clearly shows that completion and departure are close together and enormous development processes are required.
Since the Sun is close to metaphysical Neptune, there is a tendency towards illusion, idealized perception and deception.
In contrast to this sensitive, incomprehensible energy, the beginning of spring in the assertive sign of Aries marks the time for a major departure! Things want to be implemented quickly.
Seek the integration of these two extremes and stay grounded.

An extremely helpful connection between Saturn, the old structures, and innovation, Uranus, brings constructive innovations from March 22nd to the end of April.
On the basis of old structures, new things can be built during this time window.
Venus connects with the Sun on March 23rd. It is now visible again as the morning star. Dedicate this special Sunday to love, generosity, creativity and joy.
The month ends with a complex new moon in Aries on March 29th, which is also a partial solar eclipse.
A solar eclipse always has a strong collective, global political and transformative energy. It triggers radical changes.
At the same time, this is the first new moon after the start of spring. This emphasizes the importance of intentions with this new beginning, also for you personally. Sow your seeds wisely.
The eclipse of the sun also shows what is still in the dark, where dependencies prevent progress. These issues want to be resolved so that things can continue as autonomously and freely as possible.
Especially in relationships, coalitions, contracts and agreements, courageous changes of direction may be necessary.
At the same time, old injuries and disappointments in relation to security, familiarity, food and care can trigger insecurities.
Some people react creatively to such conflicts, which changes their perspectives and living conditions. Other people become hopeless and bitter and lose their will to live.
Neptune’s change into Aries happens approximately every 150 years. On March 30th, he will do so temporarily until October 22nd, 2025. Then he will wander back into Pisces to run through Aries again from January 26th, 2026 to March 2039.

With Neptune in Aries, visions and ideologies can pave the way more uncompromisingly. This is especially true at the end of June, when the realist Saturn joins in.
Incidentally, the connection between Neptune and Saturn is also closely linked to the history of Russia. Here, too, an ideology was implemented in a concrete and extremely uncompromising manner.

In addition, Neptune, the god of water, shows himself eruptively in the fire sign – also climatically, which includes extreme weather conditions in relation to seas and water.

Used constructively, you can pursue your intentions, ideals and visions in a motivated, courageous and active way. You feel capable of acting and determined to live up to your values and standards.
For some people, especially for Cancers, Capricorns and Libras of the first degree, Neptune in Aries can also lead to irritation. Pay particular attention to clarity and do not be blinded by grandiose ideas or false promises.
